David appears on Look North following meeting with BAE management to preserve Brough jobs
David appeared, with Hull West and Hessle MP Alan Johnson, on BBC Look North following his meeting with BAE management and Vince Cable, after which it was announced that there would be no compulsory redundancies at the Brough site until the end of 2012.
He said that, although BAE remained “implacable” in its opposition to retaining production of the iconic Hawk aircraft at the Brough site, it was becoming more interested in retaining local jobs and mitigating job losses.
500 BAE workers plan to attend a mass lobby on Wednesday 2nd- against BAE bonuses and job losses- to coincide with the company’s AGM: which David will join.
