David appears on Question Time

David appeared on the BBC’s topical debate show, Question Time, with fellow panellists Chuku Umunna, the shadow business secretary- Vince Cable, the present business secretary- Melissa Kite of The Spectator, and Marina Lewycka, author of the comic novel, A short history of tractors in Ukrainian.

Topics raised included the reduction in the top rate of income tax from 50p to 45p and the freezing of pensioners’ age-related personal allowances- both of which David defended.

The discussion then moved on to other topical issues, including the questions of whether ransoms should ever be paid for the release of British hostages from captivity, and whether there was a case for a British republic.
