David appears on World at One to discuss the PM’s EU veto
David appeared on BBC Radio 4’s ‘World at One’ to discuss the status of the Prime Minister’s December veto of a new EU pact.
David described how it is very important that the veto involves the specific prevention of the use of EU institutions by the signatories of the ‘financial stability’ pact. He goes on to say that, without such a preclusion, Britain could find itself overruled by an EU which is continually expanding its remit.
He finished by explaining that, whilst Conservative MPs understand the realities of coalition politics, they are increasingly concerned that what was originally a veto has morphed into something quite different.
