David calls for Fraud Office to look into Arch Cru
David called for the Serious Fraud Office to look into the 2009 Arch Cru scandal, which saw 20,000 investors facing big losses, despite repeated assurances from respected financial institutions that investments in the company were “low risk”.
He fears that, in the period running up to the suspension of Arch Cru funds, a mixture of false accounting, gross negligence and even fraud exacerbated the losses investors faced.
Although a compensation package has been devised, it still leaves many investors facing large losses, and David has long campaigned for the 100% compensation that he believes those who invested money in Arch Cu on a false prospectus deserve.
