MP encourages people to take action to lower bills
Haltemprice and Howden MP David Davis,is encouraging people to take action to lower their energy bills and keep their homes warm during the winter.
Advice from the Department of Energy and Climate Change encourages people to check if they could get a better deal on their energy bills, from either a different tariff or another supplier.
They also offer guidance on what families can do to keep their home energy efficient.
Mr Davis said: “I would encourage everyone to check their energy bills to see if they can get a better deal by switching tariffs or suppliers.
“With household budgets under pressure, it is critical people check the government guidance to ensure they make the most of the offers available to them.
“Families and the elderly could be financially worse off by not receiving grants, such as the Warm Home Discount, or by not receiving help from the Energy Company Obligation scheme.”
