David Davis meets with constituents at Dyspraxia Awareness Week
Sir David Davis attended an event in Parliament to support Dyspraxia Awareness Week. At the event Mr Davis met with constituent, and vice chair of the Dyspraxia Foundation, Gill Dixon along with her son Joseph who has severe dyspraxia and dyslexia.
The event, hosted by the Dyspraxia Foundation, launched the results of a new survey highlighting the levels of anxiety, fear or dread felt by secondary school children living with dyspraxia. The event called for a greater understanding of the issues facing young people and adults who live with dyspraxia.
Mr Davis said
“The vital work done by the Dyspraxia Foundation greatly helps support young people and adults living with this life impacting condition.
It was a real pleasure to meet with Mrs Dixon and her son Joseph and to hear how dyspraxia has affected both their lives.
Mrs Dixon’s tireless work as vice chair of the Dyspraxia Foundation has helped increase awareness and understanding of this poorly understood condition.
It is critically important that the Dyspraxia Foundation’s work continues to support young people and adults. I am extremely supportive of the campaigns aims and appreciate their work.”
