Sir David Davis encourages local primary schools to compete in UK-wide technology challenge “Make IT Happy, Make IT Safe”

For the seventh year running MP’s and e-skills UK have launched the “Make IT Happy” competition, the UK-wide technology challenge for primary school students aged 9-11. This year’s competition has been specially designed to help children use the internet safely and creatively.

Sir David Davis said:  “I encourage all local primary schools to get involved with Make IT Happy this year. The competition helps children gain invaluable internet safely skills, and pass them on to other people.

Staying safe online is an important skill even for primary age children. This competition will help them learn how to make the most of the internet without putting themselves at risk, encouraging online confidence for the children and peace of mind for parents.

This is a great opportunity for children in Haltemprice and Howden to learn new skills and maybe win something for their school in the process.”
