Sir David Davis writes to The Hull Daily Mail thanking East Riding of Yorkshire Council for cleaning up graffiti

As published in The Hull Daily Mail letter section:

Last week, the Conservative Association office in my constituency of Haltemprice and Howden was badly graffitied.

I would like to publicly thank the East Riding Council, and its staff, for the expeditious and efficient way in which the graffiti was cleaned up.
The vandalism was reported on Thursday morning and by Friday morning there was no sign of it whatsoever.

The disgraceful slogans and images graffitied on the building will have been offensive and troubling to many people in the area.

These kind of acts have no place in our public discourse and I am grateful to the council for their quick actions.
