David Davis welcomes enhanced flood defences for North Ferriby
As reported by the Hull Daily Mail:
‘This will reassure residents their properties are safe’
Flood defence work has now been completed in North Ferriby.
The village was battered by last year’s tidal surge, with 29 homes flooded.
David Davis, Haltem- price and Howden MP, said: “I welcome the news that the Environment Agency has now completed the work to create a higher flood wall along the northern bank of the Humber in North Ferriby.
“This area suffered dreadfully as a result of the tidal surge.
“This new flood defence will protect against any future flooding event and reassure the residents that their properties are safe.”
