David does the papers on the Andrew Marr show

David appeared on the Andrew Marr Show with Keith Blackmore, Deputy Editor of The Times, and Catherine Mayer, Europe Editor of TIME magazine, to review the day’s papers.

Stories discussed included the ongoing scandal in China following the murder of British businessman Neil Heywood; Saturday’s Grand National, and the strong opposition to the so-called “charity tax” introduced by the recent budget. David suggested that the run of apparent “pratfalls” which the government has experienced was the result of both genuine mistakes, which are the inevitable result of the bargaining process of coalition government; and of an increasingly critical press.
