The Daily Express launched a ‘crusade’ to maintain the British production of the Red Arrows over fears that the country’s aviation industry is being hollowed out, and a comment piece criticising BAE’s job cuts and calling for ministerial intervention to reverse the decision.
The Times(£) and Daily Telegraphfocused on David’s disclosure to the house that the taxpayer, rather than BAE shareholders, will foot the (£110m) bill for the destruction of 3,000 of the company’s jobs.
